ISCC - security through certification

ISCC aims at establishing an international, practicable and transparent system to certify biomass and bioenergy. ISCC focuses on

-       greenhouse gas reduction,

-       sustainable land use,

-       protection of natural habitats and

-       social sustainability.

Independence, transparency and an international orientation are distinct for ISCC. The ISCC seal distinguishes solidly sustainable biomass and bioenergy from non-sustainable sources in order to encourage agriculturists and processors to adopt sustainable behaviour on a day-to-day basis.

ISCC certifications

are conducted by independent certification bodies that examine operational sustainability based on process instructions and checklists.
